Answer for your business on Zygos
Claiming a profile proves that you are authorised to represent the business. It does not allow you to remove reports or control Zygos's conclusions. Zygos remains responsible for the record.
As a verified representative you can
- Respond to claims about your business, with evidence. A moderator prepares the public version; your files stay private.
- Dispute a claim and say exactly what you contest. The claim then shows that you dispute it.
- Challenge an evidence item you believe is wrong, and ask for corrections to your profile's details.
- Propose a resolution, which the reporter is asked to confirm.
- Declare your official accounts, and report accounts that are not operated by you.
- Appeal a decision. Someone other than the person who made it reviews the appeal.
You cannot
- Delete or edit claims, reporters' statements, evidence or moderation decisions.
- See who made a report, or anything a reporter gave Zygos privately.
- Mark your business as trustworthy, or decide verification outcomes.
How claiming works
- Create an account, then open your business's Zygos profile and choose Claim this profile.
- Show your authority: publish a one-time code on a website already listed on the profile (this shows you control the website), or send documents for review.
- A Zygos moderator decides. Controlling the website is not, by itself, proof that you may speak for the business. Your authority lasts a year and can be renewed.

An account alone gives no authority. You still need to claim and verify your business.
